Almost Santa Claus Assistant
Nathalia is my full name. I never remember the meaning, but I remember the story. The day that I was born, my dad said to my mom that the name Nataly that she had chosen was ugly. That everybody would make fun calling me Natal or Natalina which means Christmas in Portuguese. Therefore, he res=gistered me as Nathalia, and I’m eternally thankful for this! I don’t like Nataly, with all respect to who has this name.
Something about my name that is really random but for me makes sense is that I prefer to be called by my nickname instead of my full name. Mostly because it sounds like that people are mad with me when they say “Nathalia”. I love the name, but in my mind “Nathi” sounds softer and I always wonder if people have the correct impression about me. So if they call me by my nickname, I guess they like me. I know that really doesn’t matter, but… well. It does!
This name doesn’t have a special meaning even for my mom, and it’s not similar with my siblings' names. I have no idea why my mom liked “Nataly” but I kind of understand my dad’s thought to change it.

Hello Nathi! i feel like you too haha because when someone I know calls me for my full name I Kind of feel like its so formal or strong , so I rather that they can call me Dani or any other nickname that they like.
ReplyDeleteNathalia is a beautiful name. It's clear that you have a strong emotional connection to your name, and that it holds a special place in your heart.
ReplyDeleteHi, Nathi, I will call your nickname Nathi, not your full name.
ReplyDeleteNathi, I didn't know that Natal in portuguese means Christmas. I think your parents made a good chose by making a modification in your name. It reminded me when I was little and sometime still happening that some people make fun of my name because they modify it.
ReplyDeleteNathi, thanks for your shearing. Your name is good. People shouldn't make fun of your name.
