My Essence

 

I love my name. I love it because many people invent new and different ways to say it like: Marsh, March, Margci, Marci, Mar… and more. I am the first in my family that is named Marcia. The story is that my mom had a friend called Marcelo, and he has a daughter named Marcia. When my mom heard it, she loved it because it was a short and powerful name.

The original meaning of Marcia comes from Roman, and it means dedicated to Mars. A few years ago, I travelled to Rome, and I had a surprise when I found a stone with my name in the
. That was a really exciting thing to discover.

What I most like about my name is that the closest people to me say my name the way they like the most, and it makes me feel very special. Not to mention that it is not a common name to hear, at least in the places that I have visited. I think Marcia is a unique name or at least that is the way I feel about it.
